PHILADELPHIA -- AMI Entertainment has announced the latest in its series of promotional giveaway contests. This one, designed in cooperation with the heavy metal band Disturbed, offers patrons of its digital downloading jukeboxes the opportunity to win an autographed guitar from Disturbed. The contest celebrates the release of Disturbed's seventh studio album, Evolution.

The contest starts on Oct. 19th, the same day as the album release. Music fans can enter the contest using the AMI Music app, available for iOS and Android devices, or at any AMI jukebox. It will run through Oct. 31.

Evolution is Disturbed's seventh album overall, and the second since its hiatus in 2011. It also marks the return of bass guitarist John Moyer, who did not contribute to the band's 2015 album Immortalized.

Disturbed produced five studio albums between 2000 and its 2011 hiatus, with four consecutive albums debuting at number one. The Dave Matthews Band and Metallica are the only other groups that match this record.

Evolution is said to be inspired by the classic rock influences of the bandmates' younger years. It is also intended as a tribute album to late heavy metal musicians, such as Vinnie Paul of Pantera and Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. Disturbed toured with both bands, and were friends of Bennington and Paul. Disturbed's frontman, Danny Draiman, explained that is the band's homeage to the "Black Album," as Metallica's self-titled fifth studio album commonly is called.

Disturbed announced it was working on a new album at the beginning of the year and finished recording in June. Two months ago,the band announced the album title Evolution and released the first single off the album, "Are You Ready." One month later, it released a second single, "A Reason to Fight."

The AMI giveaway contest enables music fans to celebrate the album's release. The autographed guitar is described as "an awesome collector's item." The easy way to enter is through the AMI Music app; music fans also may enroll through any participating AMI jukebox.

Founded in 1909 as an automatic musical instrument company, AMI launched its first jukebox, the  electrically amplified 20-select National Automatic Selective Phonograph, in 1927. Today, AMI and its network of business partners provide music and music video entertainment, as well as digital advertising capabilities, to commercial businesses.
