ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL -- American Vending Sales said it has promoted Jeff Yoder to vice-president and general manager. He joined AVS in 2006 as general manager, a role in which he has overseen all aspects of the distributorship's operations.

Yoder also has played a key role in AVS's video gaming division, where he has been in charge of compliance, making him the company's liaison to the Illinois Gaming Board. AVS is the authorized distributor of IGT video gaming terminals in the Illinois market.

"Jeff has become an integral part of our executive management team," said AVS president Vince Gumma. "He is a well-respected leader in our organization and very deserving of his new title."

Prior to AVS, Yoder spent 28 years in the printing industry, first with North American Printing Ink Co. and later with the Flint Group as an information services director.

Founded in Chicago in 1971 by Frank Gumma Sr., American Vending Sales distributes and services amusement, gaming and merchandise vending equipment. AVS is now based in Elk Grove Village.
