Amcon Distributing reports Q2 2022 sales, earnings gain

Amcon Distributing Co., an Omaha, Nebraska based consumer products company, reported sales rose from $378.5 million for Q2 2021 to $391.8 million for the quarter ending March 31, 2022, according to an earnings release.

Net income rose from $5.5 million to $6 million in the comparative quarters, while basic income per diluted share rose from $4.41 to $5.29 and diluted earnings per share rose from $4.33 to $5.19.

Shares traded at $163.13 today against a 52-week range of $112.42-$262.58.

The company declared an 18-cent share quarterly dividend.

"Ongoing supply chain disruptions with the consumer-packaged goods companies we partner with have impacted product availability across all markets, including the convenience distribution industry in which our company operates," Andrew Plummer, president and CEO, said in the press release. "The United States continues to experience an acute workforce shortage which we work diligently to address in our daily operations."
