COCKEYSVILLE, MD -- A&A Global Industries said it has entered into a limited asset purchase agreement with Top Notch Toys of San Jose, CA. The deal, according to both companies, will combine the strengths of the two bulk vending powerhouses. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The agreement calls for A&A Global's hiring of TNT's Rachel Rosenberg, effective immediately. Rosenberg has 20 years' experience in bulk vending. At A&A, she will manage existing accounts and focus on new business development.
"I'm looking forward to helping customers with A&A Global's vast product lines and integrating new ones," Rosenberg said.
TNT owner Michael Applebaum will consult for A&A, offering ideas for new products and advice on strategies. "I have a lot of ideas and great concepts that I've worked on, but I have not necessarily had the wherewithal to apply them," Applebaum said. "It's nice to have a company that has the structure and capability of taking on any project."
A&A said its acquisition of TNT is in line with its mission to "revolutionize the bulk vending industry." It combines A&A's extensive product lineup, industry knowledge and two shipping points (Baltimore and Los Angeles) with TNT's development capabilities and strong customer service culture. These united attributes will ultimately benefit vending operators, said A&A executive vice-president Brian Kovens.
Applebaum founded TNT in 2006. His goal was to develop and market products of value that could be sold for 50¢ or 75¢ in vending capsules, which are primarily purchased by children and young teens.
