3 Washington counties get Narcan vending machines

Five vending machines offering Narcan have been installed in health centers in three southwest Washington counties, according to a kptv.com report.

Southwest Washington Accountable Community of Health partnered with Beacon Behavioral Health to receive a $165,000 grant to pay for the machines and supplies of Narcan. The machines are located at Xchange Recovery, Klickitat Valley Health Hospital, Lifeline Connections, North Shore Medical Group and Recovery.

Vicky Smith, program director for Xchange Recovery, said the machines help reduce the stigma surrounding addiction.
