VANCOUVER -- Residents at some Canadian apartment buildings will have round-the-clock access to last-minute staples thanks to a new vending option. A company called Happy Vending is deploying automatic convenience stores that sell everything from eggs, milk and bacon to shampoo, dog food and ground coffee.
Happy Vending said it will install its first two machines in Vancouver by the end of January and that items will be priced similarly to what they would cost at local convenience stores.
The machines will initially offer the top 40 products sold in convenience stores and gas stations, but building residents will also be able to provide input on the items they'd like to see carried in their machines.
