CHARLOTTE, NC -- Ready-to-heat paninis and pboli in recyclable bakeable and microwaveable packaging highlight the latest offerings from Stefano Foods. Also new is a line of full-size pizzas in recyclable, bakeable packaging.
The panini and stromboli trays encase food items inside a clear plastic dome that allows for damage-free stacking. They are prepared by removing the clear lid and sauce pack, and placing the tray into a microwave or conventional oven. These items have a 14-day refrigerated shelf life.
Stefano's new 9-oz. three-meat panini is stuffed with pepperoni, salami, Virginia ham, and mozzarella and provolone cheeses. The chicken Caesar panini includes seasoned chicken strips, bacon, green onions and provolone, parmesan and Romano cheeses, mixed with Caesar dressing. Each grilled panini is topped with more Parmesan and Romano cheese and Italian herbs.
The two new 8-oz. stromboli, enrobed in pizza dough, include one loaded with pepperoni, mozzarella and provolone. The other is filled with Italian sausage, garnished with red, green and yellow bell peppers. The fire-baked stromboli is topped with Parmesan and Romano, and strewn with Italian herbs.
Both the panini and stromboli include a 2-fl.oz. pack of pomodoro dipping sauce.
Also new from Stefano for foodservice are 22-oz. pizzas in bakeable packaging. Just remove the clear lid and plastic wrap and slide the pizza in its tray into the oven.
Varieties include five cheese; veggie pizza, with strips of red, green and yellow peppers, diced tomatoes, onions and sliced Cremini mushrooms; and four meat, topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, beef crumbles and bacon.
