Snyders-Lance Devotes New Division To Better-For-You Snacks

Snyder's-Lance, Clearview FoodsCHARLOTTE, NC -- Snyder's-Lance Inc. has formed Clearview Foods, a new snack food division with a focus on developing better-for-you snacking options. It will initially focus on three lines: Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps, Eat Smart and Late July Organic Snacks.

Peter L. Michaud, former vice-president of Snack Factory, will serve as senior vice-president and general manager of the Clearview Foods division.

The snack food giant also unveiled new corporate and Clearview logos, both sporting the "Snacking is our passion" tagline.

The formation of the Clearview is part of a companywide transformation that started with Snyder's-Lance's acquisition of Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps and Baptista's Bakery, a majority stake in Late July Organic Snacks and divestiture of its private brands business.
