Perfect Bar Brings Superfood-Packed Snack To Refrigerated Vending Machines

SAN DIEGO -- Perfect Bar packs organic "superfoods" into a grab-and-go bar that is unique in that it requires refrigeration. The company reports that it's on the menu in refrigerated vending machines operated by Fresh Healthy Vending and Appleseed Vending, both based in San Diego.

Perfect Bars contain organic almond and peanut butter and 20-plus organic whole food ingredients, and are sweetened with honey. They are free of gluten and soy protein, non-GMO and paleo friendly.

The newest variety is the 2.3-oz. almond coconut Vegan Perfect Bar, which joins peanut butter, carob chip and cranberry crunch, among others, which all feature bold new package graphics.

Since they contain no chemical preservatives, artificial ingredients or emulsifiers, the company says its bars maintain their optimal freshness, consistency and flavor when refrigerated. While they can last two weeks unrefrigerated at room temperature, if they are exposed to heat, the natural fruit, seed and nut oils can begin to separate, making the bars oily.
