LOUISVILLE, KY-- Payment Alliance International, an ATM operation headquartered here, said it has acquired Avery Scott LLC, another ATM company based in Louisville. The acquisition adds about 400 locations to PAI's nationwide network, which has 74,000 ATMs online.

Avery Scott's ATMs are placed in locations in the Louisville metro area and surrounding counties, as well as in Indiana, Ohio and Florida. PAI is reportedly retaining Avery Scott employees and affiliates.

"Avery Scott and its leadership team have provided retail ATM services to the Louisville market for more than 20 years, and we are excited to bring our company strength and expanded product line to both new and existing Avery Scott customers," said PAI president and chief executive John J. Leehy III. "With PAI headquartered in Louisville, this hometown acquisition is extra special for all of us and brings such marquis clients as the Louisville Zoo, Jewish Hospital and Slugger Field, to name a few."

Founded in 2005, Payment Alliance International is the nation's largest privately held ATM operator. It also provides processing services and technical support, sells ATM equipment and creates ATM branding programs. Additionally, PAI offers credit, debit and prepaid card acceptance services.
