Giles played in the NHL from 1979 to 1991, beginning and ending his defenseman's career with the Minnesota North Stars. After retiring from professional hockey, he built a warehouse operation for a large company in the Twin Cities, and then entered the vending business at Breaktime Beverages. He moved on to Taher Inc. (Minnetonka, MN), a contract foodservice company, where he opened the majority of his 32M micromarket locations.
Stewart McMullan is 32M and TKC's new chief financial officer. He previously held the same post at the University of Minnesota Medical School and spent more than two decades working in economic development and financial management positions for the State of Minnesota and University of Minnesota.
Gina Washburn joins 32M from the State of Idaho Blind Enterprise Program and will focus on growing the company's micromarket deployments by visually impaired vendors.
"Growing this sector of our business is a major initiative for our company -- and Gina is going to lead this charge" said 32M chief operating officer Patrick McMullan. "We currently serve as the tech provider for nine states, and we are the largest supplier to the visually impaired community. We intend to double if not triple in 2016 and also work with BEP operators to enter the corrections business using our TKC brand."
Clint Moxey has been appointed 32M and TKC western U.S. regional sales manager. He is based in Reno, NV, where he has operated Moxey Machines for nearly a decade. He purchased an existing vending machine repair and distribution business about six years ago in addition to running his vending business. He became a 32M distributor and has been instrumental in helping TKC land accounts in Nevada.
Kurk Johnson will join 32M as vice-president of sales starting Feb. 1. He worked as the first official distributor of 32M micromarkets with the Lieberman Cos. in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. American Vending Sales Inc. acquired Lieberman Cos. earlier this month. | SEE STORY
"Kurk has been a major advocate for not only 32M, but micromarkets as a whole," said McMullan. "With Lieberman selling [its] business, we wanted to ensure that without question, Kurk remained as a critical piece for our growth plans."
Jim Bergstrom has been appointed purchasing manager for 32M, TKC and the company's institutional supply division. He brings two decades' experience acquired at Target, NAPCO and Precision Coatings. Most recently, he was a project manager at Floor Store Inc. McMullan said the company has developed both domestic and international relationships in the production and sale of products and that Berstrom's expertise will help improve its acquisition costs and quality.
TKC and 32M founder and chief executive Todd Westby and his brother Tim Westby are co-chairmen of the group's board of directors.
