Living Essentials Reformulates 5-Hour Energy Shots

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI -- Living Essentials LLC has overhauled its line of 5-hour Energy shots with an improved flavor that is now shipping to vendors.

The company said the flavor reformulation, the most significant change in 5-hour Energy's 10-year history, is a direct result of customer feedback. Newly designed labels are marked "New Improved Taste."

"The message is clear. Our customers want an energy shot that tastes great, and we've given them what they've asked for," said 5-hour Energy director of communications Melissa Skabich.

The reformulated original 5-hour Energy shots are available in berry, grape, citrus lime, orange, pink lemonade and pomegranate. Extra-strength energy shots are available in berry, grape, sour apple and strawberry-watermelon in the new formulation. Decaf 5-hour Energy also has an improved citrus taste.

The company is promoting 5-hour's revamp on Facebook and will begin a national advertising campaign on Feb. 2.
