Hershey Opens Public 3D Chocolate Candy Printing Exhibit

HERSHEY, PA -- Hershey Co. has opened the 3D Chocolate Candy Printing exhibit at Hershey's Chocolate World Attraction here in partnership with Rock Hill, SC-based 3D Systems.

At the exhibit, consumers can interact with Hershey scientists and the breakthrough technology. They can witness live 3D printing, see finished products, interact with 3D graphics preloaded on iPads and see what they would look like as a piece of 3D chocolate. Hershey said the 3D chocolate printer on display is the most advanced model in operation today.

The exhibit will help Hershey gather consumer information; at the exhibit, they can participate in a survey that asks them to share their preferences on customization options and product design.
