LEWISVILLE, TX -- Looks are everything when it comes to micromarkets, and Graphics That Pop is now helping vending operators turn heads with its freestanding area treatments for self-checkout stores. GTP's Robert Liva says his company's solution is engineered for easy assembly and modification right on location.
GTP's modular system breaks down for affordable shipping and stress-free movement between locations; it can be assembled in 23 minutes in the field [see demonstration in video below]. Using a 7/16" nut driver and 1/8" connecting aluminum L-brackets, operators can quickly assemble their micromarket area treatments. Countersunk T-nuts are set in epoxy to make an extra-strong connection.
The micromarket graphics system includes opaque or backlit headers with easy-to-change custom graphics and durable black ABS plastic sides or custom graphics. Deep acrylic shelving with product dividers and LED lighting provide the backdrop for high-impact merchandising.
In locations with soffits, wall graphics can be applied directly to the front of a soffit to mimic the header system display. In accounts with small micromarkets, custom graphics can be displayed on the wall behind the merchandising racks and above and around coolers and freezers.
For its custom wall graphics, GTP uses Graphi-Tex, a matte polyester fabric with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. This material can be mounted to clean, flat surfaces and wrapped around corners; it can also be contour-cut for custom shapes and lends itself to backlighting options.
According to Liva, Graphi-Tex is water resistant and can be used for indoor and outdoor applications. It's also wrinkle-free and does not lose adhesive strength, making it removable and reusable -- without damaging, or leaving residue on, the surface on which it was originally mounted.
Graphics That Pop has been developing and marketing vending machine and area stylings for more than a decade. Its original machine restyling kit, called Tuffronts, is widely used by operators to update vending equipment and improve location aesthetics.
