The Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo has unveiled Doritos Jacked 3D, which it describes as an "amped-up" version of it popular Jacked chip featuring a three-dimensional shape engineered for more intense crunch and bold flavor.
The new variant is rolling out in jalapeño pepper jack flavor; a bacon cheddar ranch flavor is scheduled to appear on store shelves for a limited time this summer. They're available in 3-1â_x0081_„8-oz. bags and large 11-1â_x0081_„2-oz. packages.
According to the manufacturer, the 3D implementation was inspired by the Doritos 3D snacks introduced in the late 1990s. The Doritos Jacked line is said to "jack up" everything from size (40% thicker and bigger) to taste. Doritos Jacked snacks now are offered in three flavors: ranch dipped hot wings, spicy street taco tortilla chips and the new 3D jalapeño pepper jack triangular solids.
