CHATTANOOGA, TN -- Five Star Food Service and Chattanooga Community Kitchen are celebrating seven consecutive years of partnering to feed the hungry.

Five Star recently hosted its annual company meeting, trade show and party, during which the main attraction was an auction from which Community Kitchen receives 100% of the proceeds. It raised $12,000, which increased Five Star's average yearly donation for the seven-year partnership to more than $10,000.

The Chattanooga Community Kitchen is a social service agency focused on lessening the poverty and restoring the dignity for Chattanooga's homeless.

"As a company committed to its community, Five Star has shown that they believe in helping those in need," said Community Kitchen executive director Jens Christensen. "Because of this incredible generosity, hundreds of lives are impacted each year through our critical services."

Five Star Food Service is one of the largest micromarket, full-line vending, coffee service and dining and catering service providers in the Southeast. It operates in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.
