PURCHASE, NY -- The iconic '90s clear cola will be available for a limited time across retail and foodservice locations in Canada and the U.S. this summer. Beginning July 11 in Canada and Aug. 8 in the U.S., 20-fl.oz. bottles of Crystal Pepsi will be available with a suggested retail price of $1.79.
PepsiCo launched the cola in 1992, marketing it as a caffeine-free "clear alternative" to regular colas and equating clarity with purity and health. By fall 1993, Pepsi pulled the drink off the market.
Crystal Pepsi returned for a limited time in the U.S. in December 2015 through a sweepstakes on the Pepsi Pass app.
"We've always had a special place in our heart for Crystal Pepsi, and there has been a huge groundswell of support to bring it back," said Pepsi senior director of marketing Stacy Taffet.
