MALVERN, PA --
Crane Payment Innovations, a Crane Co. company, announced the commercial availability of its new Talos bill validator and Gryphon coin changer. The new products mark the next generation in note and coin validation for the CPI vending portfolio.
The Talos bill validator improves upon existing CPI cash hardware technology with a range of new features, including increased note coverage for faster transaction speed, enhanced sensor technology for superior fraud protection, and 100% backward compatibility for easy integration with all legacy bezels and cashboxes.
Meanwhile, the Gryphon coin changer introduces proprietary sensing technology for increased fraud protection, additional motors for increased reliability, and 12% more tube capacity for advanced configuration options. Both note and coin products are also equipped for USB connectivity for seamless updates.
A particular point of distinction is that the Talos bill validator and Gryphon coin changer are the first of their kind to be equipped for mobile connectivity when paired with the new CPI Synq connectivity module. With Synq, real-time data, alerts, diagnostics and troubleshooting are available via the Simplifi mobile app. This suite of connectivity-enabled products promises a decrease in service costs and time, as well as a reduction in routine machine maintenance.
"We are proud of our long history providing the vending industry with the best-in-class cash validation products," said CPI vice-president/general manager of vending Chuck Reed. "The launch of our next -generation coin and note validation solutions highlights our focus on innovation that delivers measurable value to operators through superior currency validation, performance, simplified diagnostics, and the reliability operators expect."
CPI provides a full range of unattended payment solutions for vending, gaming, retail, transportation and financial services applications. CPI is built upon the technological heritage and market expertise of the NRI, CashCode, Telequip, Money Controls and, most recently, MEI and Conlux brands.
The company is headquartered in Malvern, PA with additional offices, manufacturing facilities, distribution and service centers worldwide and holds one of the world's largest installed bases of unattended payment systems.
