MALVERN, PA -- Crane Payment Innovations launched its Gryphon coin changer for Canada during the Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association 2019 Expo in Montreal, QC, on Sept. 20.

Gryphon represents the next generation in coin validation for the CPI vending portfolio. Initially available in the U.S., it's designed to offer increased security and unrivalled transaction speeds

According to the manufacturer, the new product improves upon existing coin-authenticating devices with a variety of new features. Its flexible coin cassette configuration options include multiple $2 coin tubes; a tool-free, six-tube cassette design that facilitates maximum coin inventory and permits easy customization; and easy-to-read menu screens providing improved navigation.

The new CPI Gryphon's enhanced acoustic coin-tube-count measurement system offers improved par options, and its three-motor design speeds payout and boosts reliability. Proprietary sensing technology delivers industry-leading fraud protection and future-proof operation, the company explained; and its enhanced configuration options provide 12% more capacity for greater payout flexibility and fewer change-fill visits. And its USB connection assures seamless upgrades and data retrieval, reducing at-machine upgrade time by as much as 80%
