ANGIE SIMONETTI

RESTON, VA -- The Convenience Distribution Association has appointed Angie Simonetti as its new director of education.

Simonetti will coordinate the association's education foundation and all of its educational functions, including in-person sessions at annual events and online. She also will assist in various aspects of event planning, preparation and delivery.

She brings nearly 10 years' experience in event and program management to the post. Most recently, Simonetti served as associate director, class engagement and special events at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business (Charlottesville), where she was key event and program manager for engagement events and relationship manager for class leaders.

The Convenience Distribution Association is the trade organization working on behalf of convenience product distributors in the U.S. Its distributor members represent more than $92 billion in U.S. convenience product sales and serve a wide variety of small-retail formats. Associate members include leading convenience product manufacturers, brokers, retailers, suppliers, and others allied to the industry.
