LONDON -- Coca-Cola Great Britain's reverse vending machines are back once again at Merlin Entertainment attractions around the UK, offering 50%-off vouchers at popular attractions in exchange for recycling a plastic bottle after last summer's success.

Last year, in partnership with Merlin Entertainment, Coca-Cola launched reverse vending machines that offered money-off vouchers for Merlin amusement park attractions in exchange for recycling a plastic bottle.

The 23 reverse vending machines are located through Oct. 17 at Alton Towers Resort, Thorpe Park Resort, Chessington World of Adventures Resort and Legoland Windsor Resort, and until March 31 at Sea Life Blackpool, Sea Life London and Warwick Castle Resort.

Those who recycle their bottle and get a voucher can use it at the locations where the vending machine are located, along with others.

"Recycling doesn't need to be boring," said Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland marketing director Kris Robbens. "We want to reward and recognize people for doing the right thing and make it easier to recycle on the go. This is just one of the steps we're taking to ensure our packaging is as sustainable as possible and making it as easy as possible for people."

Coca-Cola Great Britain is also adding the "recycle me" message to all its Coca-Cola bottle tops and its team has been been appearing at festivals around the U.K. this summer, helping and encouraging people to recycle. It also recently announced that it's moving all Glaceau Smartwater bottles to 100% rPET (pre-recycled plastic) in 2019 - saving 9,921 tons of virgin plastic per year.
