TUKWILA, WA -- A new app for Avanti Markets is powered by Byndl, an unattended retail point of sale platform. It allows consumers with existing Avanti micromarket accounts to purchase goods, manage their profiles and reload accounts, access purchase histories and request support.
"The ability for consumers to manage their profiles on the go via the mobile app, combined with features like 'pay by fingerprint,' gives them the ultimate flexibility to engage with their market," said Avanti Markets chief executive Jim Brinton.
Customer support is among the app's key features. If a consumer has a question about items in stock in the market, for example, it will be sent via email to the market operator. If a consumer has a question about the app, it will be sent via email to the Avanti customer support team, raising a ticket.
"Consumer engagement is key," said Avanti Markets president Lori Salow Marshall. "Enabling support in the app with FAQs, feedback forms and support requests that are routed based on the type of request will give our operators a new way to connect with and delight their consumers."
The app is available at Google Play and Apple iTunes stores. It will be available on Windows Mobile in December. Consumers with existing Avanti market accounts can download the app and enter their email and password from their My Market Card account, and their existing profile information will populate the app.
Operators are provided marketing materials to aid in driving consumer adoption, including kiosk advertisements, flyers, brochures and communications for location managers and employees.
Avanti said additional features supporting offers and promotions will be made available early in the first quarter of 2016.
