MAHWAH, NJ -- Two men servicing an ATM inadvertently left curbside a bag containing more than $140,000. Not surprisingly, the bag was soon picked up. Police are now searching for the culprits.
According to local reports and accompanying security camera video, the two routemen stopped at an industrial park in Mahwah, NJ, to service an independent ATM, leaving the bag full of cash on the front lawn. A short time later, the service vehicle drove off without the bag, and a driver in a white van snatched the satchel.
To date, officials have ruled out that the theft was an inside job. No word on whether the two employees still have jobs.
