GREENVALE, NY -- Apple Industries reports that its senior executives were warmly welcomed by Mitsubishi Electric (Tokyo, Japan), which manufactures the imaging products used in
Apple's Face Place photobooths. For decades, Mitsubishi Electric US (Cypress, CA) has been a valued Apple Industries supplier.
Mitsubishi officials invited Apple's management team to visit its Japanese headquarters. Apple chief executive officer Allen Weisberg, chief operating officer Scott Avery and engineer Jesse Weisberg accepted the invitation during a trip to Japan in mid-October.
Hosted by Mitsubishi Electric USA vice-president and general manager Akihiko (Spike) Odakura and eastern regional sales manager Art Pushkin, the Apple team consulted with the engineers and designers responsible for Mitsubishi's award-winning products and technologies, including those provided by the Mitsubishi Electric Visual and Merchandising Group. The visitors also enjoyed an educational tour of a number of Japanese arcades and family entertainment centers.
In its more than 30 years of developing and marketing equipment for the retail consumer environment, Apple Industries has grown into an international leader.
