Alarming Video Shows How Criminals Install ATM Skimmers

The news site that investigates cybercrimes has posted a video demonstration of how insert skimmers are installed into ATMs. Krebs On Security's video shows the speed and ease at which criminals are able to install the insidious and virtually undetectable devices into ordinary ATMs.

The skimmers, which read and store credit and debit card information for later sale by criminals, are becoming a growing law enforcement problem. Experts say skimmer technology has been evolving at an alarming rate. So-called insert skimmers, many of them produced in China, are the latest iteration of the felonious technology.
