LightSpeed Integrates Vending Warehouse Technology With Lane Jumper Micromarket App

ATLANTA -- LightSpeed Automation has integrated Lane Jumper, a self-checkout mobile payment and product management system for micromarket operators, with its warehouse automation technology.

Lane Jumper allows micromarket users to download a mobile payment app to make purchases. Operators can submit their micromarket orders directly from Lane Jumper to LightSpeed, then have the final order quantities updated in Lane Jumper automatically.

"Our integration with LightSpeed Automation will allow our operators to more seamlessly leverage our technology, while fully keeping the benefits they currently receive from LightSpeed," said Lane Jumper chief executive and founder Miguel Florez.

LightSpeed Automation's "pick-to-light" and mobile iPad picking solutions are designed to increase the number of units picked during the prekitting process, reduce employee mistakes and allow operators to reduce labor cost in the warehouse. This simplifies training new employees to the point that many operators can use part-time help, according to Lightspeed. Its FastTrack and Xpress systems operate in several hundred locations worldwide.
