FARIBAULT, MN -- C&S Vending Co. Inc. announced that it has acquired some of the full-line vending and office refreshment services assets of D&R Vending Inc. (Rochester, MN). Terms were not disclosed.

D&R Vending and its sister amusement company, D&R Star, were founded by Richard Hawkins. Today, the business is led by Hawkins' son Michael. D&R is not selling its music and games component, which includes TouchTunes jukeboxes, videogames, cranes and merchandisers, along with bulk vending. D&R Star also runs pool table and electronic dart leagues on its own equipment, and operates the Family Fun Center in Rochester. The amusement business will continue to operate from D&R's office at 2207 7th St. NW in Rochester.

Hawkins, who is a past president of the Amusement and Music Operators Association, started D&R's vending and office coffee divisions in the 1970s. Effective Dec. 14, C&S Vending picked up those D&R assets in Minnesota's Rice, Steele, Goodhue, Dodge and Freeborn Counties.

C&S Vending is a 50+ year-old independent full-line operation specializing in fresh food machines, micromarkets, office coffee and catering. Its routes serve several hundred accounts in the upper Midwest within a 150-mile radius of its headquarters in Faribault, MN, which is about 50 miles south of Minneapolis. Scott Amundson is president of C&S Vending.
