NASHVILLE, TN -- The Amusement and Music Operators Association reports that the Jukebox License Office has issued 2017 rates for the performance of recorded music on jukeboxes playing compact audio discs and phonograph records. AMOA pointed out that many of its member operating companies still have CD and vinyl microgroove jukeboxes on their routes.

In 2017, the rate for all jukebox operators is $485 for the first license. The rate for the second, and all subsequent, licenses is $82 for AMOA members, a $30 saving over the general rate of $112. While there are fewer jukeboxes playing discrete media in this digital age than there used to be, the $30 per box discount represents a real saving for the many operators who still run them, AMOA observed.
