MOKENA, IL -- Effective Sept. 1, the AMOA-National Dart Association will be administered by William T. Glasgow Inc., an events management firm headquartered here. WTG has served the coin-op trade for more than 30 years, managing such industry events as Amusement Showcase International, the AMOA International Expo, Fun Expo and now Amusement Expo International, which is co-owned by the Amusement and Music Operators Association and the American Amusement Machine Association.

WTG's executive vice-president, Brian Glasgow, will also serve as NDA's general manager. At the end of September, Jack Kelleher will step down as executive vice-president of the Amusement and Music Operators Association, a post he held for 18 years, and will become NDA's executive director.

"We're excited about the opportunity to help enhance a great brand in the business -- the National Dart Association," Glasgow said. "Soft-tip electronic darts is a fun, competitive sport that brings together passionate players, entrepreneurial operators, and an impressive international roster of manufacturers and suppliers. We bring a solid track record of managing programs and events to the table, and we know the industry well, so we think it's a great fit for both NDA and WTG."

In March, NDA president Mary Lynn Lavine, Bullseye Inc. (Madison, WI), announced the management changeover. Kelleher succeeds Leslie Murphy, who directed NDA, previously based in Indianapolis, for two decades. | SEE STORY

"We're looking forward to building on the success of NDA during the past 30 years and creating a new path for the betterment of our members and the sport," Lavine said.

As general manager, Glasgow will oversee the planning and organization of NDA's events, chief of which is Team Dart, which hosts almost 3,000 darters annually. The 2017 Team Dart, the 32nd edition, will be held April 20-26 in Las Vegas. As executive director, Kelleher will be responsible for the overall management of NDA. The two executives have appointed three staff members to support NDA's programs and operations.

Kelly Glasgow will direct the day-to-day conduct of the association as NDA manager. She grew up in the meetings and events industry, and formally worked for WTG for the past seven years.

Rachel Kamuda, whose experience spans the events management and hospitality industries, is the new NDA administrator.

Alyssa Pfennig, who served on the previous NDA management team for seven years, joins the new administration as remote support supervisor. Based in Indianapolis, Pfennig, a certified association executive, will be involved in all facets of association business.

The AMOA-National Dart Association's new address is 10070 W. 190th Pl., Mokena, IL 60448. The telephone numbers are (800) 808-9884 or (708) 326-7110. Jack Kelleher can be emailed at jack@ndadarts.com.
