vending, NAMA advocacy app CHICAGO -- Now available from the National Automatic Merchandising Association is an app for smartphones and tablets that makes it easy to make one's opinion known to elected officials. The NAMA Grassroots App facilitates staying up to date on issues important to the industry and sending messages to lawmakers.

NAMA members can enroll by logging onto nama.constituentvoice.net/an/register and signing up. With that done, the registrant receives the necessary download link for use in obtaining either the Apple iOS or the Android version of the app.

The association requests members taking advantage of this new service to put it to immediate use. "Take action by sending your member of Congress a message supporting legislation to reduce the impact of the recent Department of Labor overtime pay rule," NAMA urged. "This rule poses a large burden to the industry, and your message to Congress to support a reasonable solution to lessening this burden can make a difference."
