BRASELTON, GA -- The Château Élan Winery & Resort here will be the setting for the third Face 2 Face Entertainment Conference (F2FEC), organized by the Three Amigos for the family entertainment center industry. It's set for Feb. 21 through 23 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

The Three Amigos are Rick Iceberg, C.J. Barrymore's (Clinton, MI); Ben Jones, Live Oak Bank (Wilmington, NC); and George Smith, Family Entertainment Group (Barrington, IL). The amusement industry veterans launched F2FEC in 2015 as a conference for the benefit of entertainment center professionals. The event is designed for experienced owners and operators, and other senior-level professionals.

The 2017 theme for F2FEC is "Differentiate." The Amigos report that they are continuing to develop and expand a series of messages and challenges to the entertainment center industry. Their initial "Change or Die" challenge, transformed into "Invest to Live," has been embraced by a knowledgeable audience of believers, according to Ben Jones.

"We're seeing convergence in the marketplace," Jones reported, and so the 2017 theme for F2FEC is "Differentiate." Part of the group's mission is to raise the awareness of center owners by seeking ways to set their operations apart: "stand out, stand above and remain relevant."

The unique "Face 2 Face" gathering will once again bring together "the best of the best" for thought-provoking conversations with the goal of assisting each participant to develop relationships and talk about what's now and what's next, and so lead the industry -- all focused on helping everyone differentiate and make more money.

"To be an attractive venue and have the greatest opportunities for long-term success, we need to strive for '10X Better' and invest in all aspects of our businesses," Smith emphasized.

Assisting the Three Amigos in planning the confab is a diverse group of volunteers from all segments of the entertainment center industry. The by-invitation-only planning meeting, EPIC Charrette (a "charrette" is a high-intensity planning session involving all the stakeholders), is scheduled for Oct. 11-13 at a location to be determined.

F2FEC is a North American conference for leaders of the entertainment industry, its manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, media and facility owners from traditional family entertainment centers, as well as bowling centers, cinemas, trampoline parks and specialty and hybrid entertainment concepts. The organizers point out that the event is not an educational or teaching forum: rather, it provides a level playing field and requires all participants to invest and participate. The conference planning team is independent, not affiliated with any industry association or other organization.

Château Élan Winery & Resort, located in the Atlanta's north area, began as a vineyard in 1981 and has developed into a 3,500-acre conference and leisure destination that includes the award-winning winery and the Château Élan Golf Club. Visit chateauelan.com.
