SÃO PAULO, Brazil -- The organizers of Brazil's popular Expovending & OCS Latin America show report that its 14th staging has been rescheduled to March 22 and 23, 2017. It was originally set for next month, Sept. 13 and 14. EPS Events, which manages the show at the initiative of Brazil's national vending association ABVA (Associação Brasileira de Vendas Automáticas), attributed the postponement to several national and industry challenges.

"The current political and economic instability have affected everyone, forcing companies and independent professionals to review projects and investments in the expectation that the scenario will improve in the future," EPS said. Conversations with the industry and consultation with stakeholders led EPS to conclude that moving the show to next year would improve its final results.

"Our main concern has always been to provide an environment where joint energies converge to maximize business results," said EPS's Carlos A. Militeli.

Militeli pointed out that Expovending & OCS is the only tradeshow in Latin America that brings together the vending machine, office coffee service, foodservice and HoReCa (hotel, restaurant and catering) sectors.

The last 13 shows have been a joint effort between EPS Events and the market, he added, and the show management has listened to the market's needs. This liaison has catalyzed the show's steady growth. The most recent staging, in 2014, enjoyed overall growth of 29% compared with the prior staging. It attracted more than 5,700 trade visitors from Brazil and the rest of South America, as well as North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. More than 100 major brands were represented at the exhibit.

The next Expovending & OCS will be supported by the National Automatic Merchandising Association, the Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association, the Vending Association of South Africa (Johannesburg) and the European Vending Association (Brussels). One of the show's sponsors is the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil, Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos).
