CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association is compiling a list of manufacturers who plan to state calorie information on the package fronts of their vendible food and beverage items.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's calorie-disclosure rule for vending machines goes into effect on Dec. 1. However, the FDA has extended the deadline for compliance for certain foods sold from glassfront vending machines to July 26, 2018. This extension specifically applies to products imprinted with FOP calorie disclosures; the original compliance date of Dec. 1 still applies to other vendible foods and beverages.

NAMA is asking suppliers to enroll in the list of companies who are or will be providing front-of-pack calorie disclosure. Operators can view the list here.

NAMA plans to update the list daily.
