DawsCo Coffee Service, vending, K-Cup recycling, The Boutique CALGARY -- New from DawsCo Coffee Service Ltd. is a K-cup recycling service at the brick-and-mortar store where it sells single-cup coffee capsules.

Because K-Cups are made of recyclable and compostable materials, the Calgary-based office coffee service decided to provide the option for its home and office customers. While the K-cup is recyclable, it can be a tedious and time-consuming task to separate the its different components, DawsCo explained. The company added that many of its customers believe the amount of K-Cups sent to landfills is much higher than it should be.

To participate in the program, OCS customers simply request that their pods be recycled. Home customers can bring them to the Calgary store, called the Boutique.

DawsCo, established in 1977, operates OCS routes in the Calgary market. The Boutique sells 200 different coffee, tea and hot chocolate K-Cups to home users, who can choose their own variety or buy by the box. It also has an online K-Cup store.
