AURORA, IL -- Coffee veteran Chris Lavina has joined the North American sales team of Bravilor Bonamat LLC, a manufacturer of commercial beverage machines for the vending, OCS, c-store and hospitality markets. He will focus on the East Coast.

Lavina began his career in the coffee business with Boston's Araban Coffee and later joined Nestlé's specialty coffee business. Lavina went on to launch Austin Walsh Beverage Specialists, where he worked with beverage companies to develop sales strategies and manage equipment. After selling AWBS, he joined Wholesome Sweeteners where he developed a long-term partnership between Wholesome and Diamond Crystal Brands.

"Our 2016 growth has been significant, we needed to bring on an experienced coffee veteran to orchestrate our sales expansion," said Bravilor Bonamat North America managing director Arjan de Groot.

Bravilor Bonamat manufactures coffee dispensing equipment for many applications, including bulk filter brewers, solar-powered thermal dispensers, soluble instant units, ambient and chilled liquid concentrate machines, and single-serve bean-to-cup brewers. All feature a valveless brew system. The company's products are sold in more than 80 countries through nine offices around the world.

To support growth in the North American market, Bravilor Bonamat recently invested in a new pallet racking system at its 30,000-sq.ft. warehouse in Aurora, IL, further optimizing stock levels of equipment and parts.

The company will exhibit at the National Automatic Merchandising Association's upcoming Coffee, Tea & Water show taking place in Nashville, TN, in booth No. 318.
