TEL AVIV, Israel -- Nayax, which provides telemetry and management solutions for unattended payments, has acquired VendSys, a developer of cloud-based vending management software. Terms were not disclosed.

Wellesley, MA-based VendSys reportedly has more than 150 vending customers, primarily in the U.S., whose vending routes range in size from five to 15,000 machines. Its vending management system integrates software, handheld data-capture and telemetry devices, along with third-party solutions. It automates demand forecasting, supply chain logistics, inventory management and equipment maintenance.

Nayax's solution for cashless payments and telemetry devices incorporates EMV-certified credit card readers, LTE cellular technology and touchscreens for various applications. Payment options include credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Wallet and PayPal, as well as Nayax's proprietary Monyx app.

Because Vendsys complements existing Nayax device and alarm management software, Nayax said its acquisition positions it to deliver business management solutions to vending and unattended retail operators on a large scale worldwide.

"Incorporating the VendSys software solution into the Nayax line of services provides a comprehensive set of business tools for our customers to grow and manage their businesses," said Nayax chief executive Yair Nechmad. "This acquisition strengthens Nayax's standing in the vending industry, and solidifies its technology leadership position."

Established in 2005 in Israel, Nayax says it has more than 100,000 devices installed worldwide, operating in more than 45 countries.
