CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association has released its 2016 midyear report, which details the association's achievements during the first half of the year. The publication is being distributed to NAMA members, and is available at namanow.org. A PDF version is available at bit.ly/2bEFzYL.

"2016 marks the emergence of a different NAMA," said association president and chief executive Carla Balakgie. The emergence of "NAMA now" is the culmination of several years of strategic groundwork with the goal of enhancing its influence and authority, she explained. | SEE STORY

Balakgie cited the launches of the Executive Forum and NAMA's new "brand" logotype, and a second successful Fly-In meeting in the nation's capital, where more than 275 participants attended.

"With this level of active member engagement, NAMA is on track to accomplish key strategic objectives through the second half of 2016," she concluded.

Founded in 1936, NAMA represents the U.S. vending, coffee service and micromarket industry.
