CHICAGO--January 10, 2017 -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association announced the opening of the nomination period for the 2017 Industry Awards, to be presented live at OneShow in Las Vegas on April 19. NAMA will accept nominations now through Monday, Jan. 30.

The NAMA Industry Awards recognize individuals that best exemplify consistent support of the convenience services industry. Candidates must exhibit a history of service and leadership to the industry through active participation within NAMA and state councils and to their communities. They must be innovative, possess a willingness to expand conventional practices and follow consistent ethical business standards in accordance with the NAMA code of ethics.

"To be honored by my peers from the operator and supplier community is the equivalent of winning the Super Bowl," said 2016 award winner Josh Rosenberg, president and chief executive of Accent Foods. "I was truly humbled and inspired by this award. Being named NAMA's 2016 Industry Person of The Year is an honor I will always cherish."

The three award categories are:
