SALEM, NH -- To keep up with advancing computer and imaging technology, Fantasy Entertainment has introduced upgrades for its most popular photobooths. Upgrade kits are now available for the Sketch Express, color and black-and-white Portrait Studios and Digital Portrait Easel.

The photobooth company reported that replacement components for early models in these lines are in short supply and that new printers require USB connectivity.

Each upgrade package has a new computer, USB- enabled printer, control-panel buttons that match button shapes in the latest user interface and Fantasy's latest photobooth software. A kit's individual components vary, depending on the booth's style and its output format. Existing cameras are compatible with each upgrade. Fantasy said that its kits will be preconfigured according to a customer's product requirements and include detailed upgrade instructions.

Fantasy GM and VP Steve White observed that the Sketch and Portrait booths have enjoyed worldwide success because of their broad customer appeal. "But the changing technical landscape threatens the ongoing viability of these machines," he explained. "Our upgrade kits will migrate each booth to modern computer and printer technology that will significantly lower operational costs and extend their ability to generate profits."

Fantasy has posted a form at its corporate website that allows operators to register for an upgrade. The Web page also has information, in the form of FAQs, on each kit. Visit fantasyent.com/support.
