CHICAGO -- After a two-year hiatus, the National Automatic Merchandising Association's Supervisor Development Program is returning with a new faculty, added topics and a two-day format. This year marks the 12th program, which will be held June 5-6 at the Tropicana Las Vegas. SDP is designed for professionals recently promoted to a supervisor position to hone their management skills.

New topics include principles of stress and time management; managing difficult conversations; and handling customer relationships and complaints. The NAMA program will also cover personal leadership development, general management decision-making, effective communications, problem solving and coaching for top performance.

Washington State University Professor Dennis Reynolds, who is a frequent speaker to management groups in Asia, Europe and North America, is a new instructor for the program. A faculty of industry experts will join him.
