MEI, Virtuo Jukebox, TouchTunes MALVERN, PA -- Now available from Crane Payment Innovations is a new MEI bill validator designed for the Virtuo, a "smart" jukebox made by TouchTunes. The AE26Q2 makes it easy for operators to replace stock validators on OEM equipment with MEI technology.

The AE26Q2 model combines MEI's AE2600 validator, which accepts $1 to $20 notes, with a thinner bezel entry. Its custom form and down stacker configuration make it an easy fit into Virtuo jukeboxes without any modification necessary to either hardware component. Installation of the new validator can be done in less than five minutes, according to MEI.

"The rising popularity of the Virtuo and the need for reliable play enabled through payment identified the opportunity for a compatible MEI solution in the market," said Chris Felix, MEI's national amusement OEM sales director.

Before the AE26Q2, installing MEI validators on Virtuo boxes required the purchase of a kit and more than 30 minutes to accomplish, according to Felix. Now, upgrade time is minimal and requires the removal of only four screws.

MEI is offering a $25 rebate on every AE26Q2 order placed by May 15.
