LAKEWOOD, NJ -- Elaut USA Inc. reports that it has been appointed master distributor for Falgas kiddie rides in the United States and Canada, and has named industry veteran Paul Jacobs to spearhead sales efforts.

Founded in 1960, Falgas Comercial S.L. (Girona, Spain) is a leading manufacturer of rides and attractions, with more than 100 models suitable for locations ranging from supermarkets and department stores to family entertainment centers, arcades and amusement parks.

Elaut USA is a vertically integrated company that distributes, designs and manufactures amusement equipment, providing parts and service support as well. It consults on large-scale family entertainment centers and other amusement operations, and is involved in every phase of the amusement game industry.

Jacobs, who comes to Elaut from Prime Time Amusements (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), explained that he has been involved in selling Falgas rides for the last four years, through companies with which he previously was affiliated. He noted that Elaut USA's experience as a manufacturer and distributor, and its reputation for first-class customer service, will strengthen the U.S. sales effort.

Falgas and Elaut USA will exhibit a variety of kiddie rides, including new interactive and educational models, at the upcoming International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions trade show in Orlando, FL, from Nov. 16 through 19.

At last year's IAAPA Attractions Expo in Las Vegas, Falgas's 1960s Surf Van, which features an onboard game, took first place for best coin-operated kiddie ride. Pirates Boats, introduced in 2008, was the Spanish company's first interactive ride, which dispenses redemption tickets, too.

Elaut USA Inc. was established in 2008 when Belgium's Elaut completed its acquisition of Monduce Inc., a major operating company specializing in arcade concessions at amusement parks. President and chief executive Jack Guarnieri became an equity owner in the U.S. unit after merging it with his PinballSales.com, a leading online marketplace for coin-op novelties.

Elaut USA offers an extensive line of popular games, including the Little Giga small-footprint crane and the new Disco Round "all-skill" merchandiser. President and chief executive Jack Guarnieri explained that the promotion will help Elaut USA's customers "get the best-earning games on the planet and pay for them easily out of the cashbox."
