DALLAS -- LAI Games reports that it now is shipping two versions of Ghost Town, a recently introduced video redemption game. The original Ghost Town was built into a cabinet designed to accommodate standard table-height chairs; the new addition's customer interface parapet, on which the guns are mounted, is high enough for comfortable use by patrons seated on barstools.

According to the manufacturer, the new parapet height is well suited for teens and adults; the original one is a versatile choice for family entertainment centers with a mix of young and adult players.

Ghost Town invites as many as four people to halt an onslaught of "spooky monsters" displayed, in four scenes, on the game's 55" LCD monitor. The weapons supplied to the defenders vibrate for enhanced realism, which is augmented by the dramatic sound effects and on-screen graphics. Success in zapping monsters wins points and tickets, and ultimately to an exciting bonus round.

Both versions offer multiple operator-adjustable settings, and measure 99" W. x 94" D. and stand 93" high.
