DENVER, CO -- Marley Coffee said it has signed a letter of intent to acquire assets of Black Rock Beverage Services, a coffee and food services provider in the greater Denver market. Alongside the equipment and truck in the deal, Marley Coffee will retain Black Rock's employees.

Marley Coffee's parent, Jammin Java Corp., also moved its headquarters to Denver. Marley Coffee said the OCS route purchase is part of a larger national strategy that the company is initially rolling out in its new hometown. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Jeff Krumtum, owner of Black Rock Beverage Services, has been providing Marley Coffee for the past eight months.

"I met Jeff and his partner recently at NAMA [OneShow] and saw his passion for our brand," said Rohan Marley, founder and chairman of the coffee company. "I asked him if he was willing to join our movement and help us replicate what he has been doing on a national level."

Marley Coffee chief executive Brent Toevs said that buying Black Rock makes sense both from a strategic and P&L perspective.
