Canada's Times Three Files Patents Related To Wireless Vending Technology

CALGARY -- Times Three Wireless Inc. has filed for six new U.S. patent applications related to its wireless location-tracking and data communication technologies that can be used in route vehicles and vending machines.

The patent applications cover communications protocols and devices, including its new hybrid beacon designs. They provide location tracking assisted by GPS for applications in vending machine reporting, automotive monitoring, remote utility meter reading, intelligent traffic signs, road condition telemetry, road construction equipment reporting and smart grids.

Times Three is a technology and licensing company based in Calgary with offices in Toronto, Austin and Dallas. It reportedly has more than 26 issued and pending patents in the U.S. and Japan.
