Tomlinson Industries CLEVELAND -- Tomlinson Industries reports that the new regulations written to update the Americans with Disabilities Act require access to product within foodservice equipment to be not higher than 48" above the floor, and no deeper than 10" from the face. The company manufactures several products that can help operators of manual equipment in foodservice establishments and convenience stores to comply with the rules.

Cup, lid, napkin, condiment and ice cream cone dispensers can be built into cabinets, or hung at the appropriate height, to conform to the required height and depth specifications, according to the manufacturer.

A low-profile handle option for Tomlinson No-Drip faucets (commonly found on coffee, tea and other beverage brewing and dispensing equipment) can lessen the height and distance of reach, the company added.

Most Tomlinson foodservice equipment, including pizza ovens, merchandisers and popcorn poppers can be placed on counters and can comply with the depth and height requirements, the manufacturer reported.

Tomlinson Industries offers a wide variety of products for food and beverage service. Its No-Drip Division provides a complete line of faucets, fittings, parts and supplies; the Modular Dispensing Systems Division markets a range of dispensers for disposable cups, lids, straws, napkins, condiments and ice cream cones. Tomlinson's Foodservice Product Division supplies soup kettles, warmers, merchandisers and a variety of metal platters, skillets and griddles as well as cutting-boards, pizza peels, gloves and matting.
