CHONGMING ISLAND, China -- A woman in China has been arrested for threatening to blow up a videogame arcade. According to local press reports, Gao Hong entered an arcade in Chomgming Island in Shanghai wearing a string of firecrackers and multiple beer bottles filled with gunpowder around her neck.

Apparently upset over the loss of some 130,000 yuan (approximately $21,147), she first demanded to see the owner, and then began smashing videogames with a length of metal rod. She was restrained by the arcade's employees before she could light the explosives.

At one time a successful businesswoman with a lucrative pickling factory, the woman had apparently fallen on hard times. The loss of the money was reported to have taken place over a three-month period with a previous altercation at the arcade ending with her being punched. While the owners of the arcade have denied gambling was taking place on the premises, police have shut down the establishment pending an investigation.
