LAS VEGAS -- Nutrition news industry members need to know will be the focus of the National Automatic Merchandising Association's Nutrition Advisory Council's round-table discussion that will be held during next week's The NAMA Show on Thursday, Mar. 22 at 9 a.m.

The NAMA show (formerly the OneShow) will run Mar. 20 through 23 (Tuesday through Friday) at the Las Vegas (NV) Convention Center.

The Nutrition Advisory Council Round Table, led by Sylvia Rowe, president of SR Strategy, will feature Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics president Lucille Beseler; David Grotto, Kellogg Co. senior nutrition activation business partner of specialty channels and frozen foods; Mondelez International director of sales planning for foodservice Diane Striegel; and Elizabeth Vegas, industry advisor for strategic alliances for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.

"Nutrition science does not always align with widely reported food trends.  It's important for NAMA member companies to know the difference as they shape their nutrition and wellness programming," Beseler said. "In my practice, I see dozens of children and families each week, trying to make the right food choices.  We want to bring this expertise and experience to you."
