Visions Of Vending Explores Industry Future At 2019 Eu’Vend Confab

COLOGNE, Germany -- Experts from the vending industry, the founder-venture capital community and the retail trade will explore current trends in relation to future changes in vending and office refreshment services at this year’s Eu’Vend & coffeena trade fair. The distinguished panelists will present the 2019 Visions of Vending forum on Friday, May 10, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The expert forum will be hosted by Aris Kaschefi, managing director of Germany’s vending association, Bundesverband der Deutschen Vending-Automatenwirtschaft (BDV) and Eric M. Schwaab, publisher of the trade journal Vending Report.

Topics for discussion will include  “Market Trends in Europe,” “Vending in China,” “The Internet of Food” and “New Work as a new market for the vending industry,” along with a number of related subjects.

Speakers will include Fabio Ziemßen, consultant and speaker (EFood-Blog), addressing the “Internet of Food” – where and how people will shop in the future; Birgit Gebhardt, trend expert and author of the book 2037: Our Everyday Routine in the Future, exploring new work as a new market; and Petry Zrubecky, managing director of Leading Consulting Solutions Ltd., will offer his perspective on vending in China.

Martin Colston, Colston Consultants will present “Vending Operator Benchmarks,” vending facts and figures for 2019. Colston is the leading provider of data on the vending industry in Europe, and compiles the detailed UK census for the Automatic Vending Association (Britain and Ireland)  as well as market reports for 21 countries for the European Vending and Coffee Service Association.

Erwin Wetzel, managing director of that association, will review Market trends in Europe. The EVA has 120 members from all segments of the vending and office refreshments industry, including both national associations and individual companies.

Eu’Vend & coffeena are sponsored by the German vending association BDV and the Specialty Coffee Association, and administered by Koelnmesse, the international trade fair management organization that administers Cologne’s famous fairgrounds. This year’s show will be held from May 9 through 11 in Hall 9 at the Fairgrounds.
