CORVALLIS, OR -- Videx is rolling out the CyberLock Flex System, which represents an additional level of integration in Videx's diverse CyberLock line of locks and other access control devices.

According to the company, the new Flex System modules build on the flexibility of the CyberLock concept to open up a new world of access control capabilities. Smart padlocks, electronic locks and keys and a hardwired door controller can be brought together under a single, powerful access management structure, Videx explained.

Flex System access modules, CyberLock hardware and an upcoming line of door controllers are managed by a software platform. The Flex System Hub serves as conduit between the software and the Flex System modules (which include key vaults and a variety of reader, input and display modules) and the soon-to-be-introduced door controllers.

According to Videx, Flex key vault modules, available with weatherproof construction, permit Cyberlock electronic keys to be stored at points of entry and other indoor or outdoor locations. They can be deployed in environments that previously were too adverse, such as parking lots.

Flex input modules allow for numeric entry of Personal Information Numbers, and reader modules offer validation by radio frequency identification to open a key vault module, or to gain access to a door controller. And Flex Display modules provide feedback, instructions and warnings.

In summary, Videx said, the new Flex System offers companies the ability to tailor an access management system to the exact requirements of every area of an onsite or off-site facility.

Videx designs and manufactures CyberLock access control products in the U.S. and ships them worldwide, directly from its Corvallis, OR, headquarters. Information may be had by calling the company at (541) 738-5500.
